Astrology Through My Eyes

Have you ever wondered how an astrologer uses astrology in her own life? Once this rich language became embedded into my brain, it brought into focus a lens to understand myself and others with astounding clarity.

In this series of essays, I’ve written about various people in my life to illustrate how their Sun sign qualities highlight their personality. As you read them, you’ll be able to see astrology through the eyes of an astrologer, learn how useful it is as a tool to understand others, and gain a new perspective on the characteristics and life lessons unique to each Sun sign.

The Sun

Some keywords for the Sun are: the will, vitality, the highest expression and sense of purpose. The Sun also represents masculinity, fatherhood and the experience of father figures in our life. It is your ego and higher personality.

Perhaps the most important meaning of the Sun in the birth chart is that it represents not necessarily who we are, but rather, its qualities embody what we are trying to become in this lifetime. The more closely aligned you feel to your Sun sign’s positive traits, the more likely it is that you’re accomplishing this lesson.
